Stars and Stones forum
I am very sad to report the following, John Keith Agnew the organiser of the Stars and Stones Forum passed over on the Summer Solstice 2011. He will be dearly missed by his family, friends and the peoples whose lives his Stars and Stones conference touched. As a result the November forum is cancelled. However the inspiration John's event provided with the Stars and Stones forum will be continued by his friends in the local area and worldwide. I would like to say from all the team involved in the Stars and Stones Forum that we will miss John a great deal, he was a wonderful soul to have at any gathering and always looked out for those that needed help.
A dedication from Hugh Newman
Another legend leaves this world on the auspicious summer solstice. It was great being your friend John xhu
Update December 2011
"I am pleased to announce that the sentiment behind Stars and Stones will continue in Suffolk in 2012. Lucy Wyatt (a previous speaker at Stars and Stones) is hosting a new event called Eternal Knowledge Festival on the family farm in coastal Suffolk. Lucy had mentioned her plans to John early in 2011 and, with his passing in June, it is now even more important for the work to carry on. We would like to think that John would approve of the way that Lucy and friends have developed this new event in Suffolk. I would also like to think John would be happy that everyone once again has the opportunity to come together in Suffolk to discuss the fundamental questions, "Who are we and where do we come from?". Gary, webmaster, December 2011
"The inspiration for this festival was the Stars & Stones forum, created by the late Sir John Agnew near Bury St Edmunds, and we would like this new event to carry forward his vision" Lucy Wyatt author of 'Approaching Chaos' and organiser of Eternal Knowledge Festival

The Stars and Stones Forum provides a unique opportunity for those investigating the cultural origins of late Mesolithic man through to the establishment of settlements and sacred sites in the bronze age and beyond. Papers will highlight the use of sophisticated Megalithic technology, Geometry, landscape alignments, Astronomy and spiritual and temporal awareness by our ancestors. Throughout the weekend there will be the opportunity for in depth debate on the latest research into this pivotal era.
Our aim is to provide a platform for scientists, historians, archaeologists, teachers, philosophers, researchers and authors, to present their papers in an open forum which encourages wide ranging and in depth discussion.
Stones and Stones Forum brings together researchers from a wide spectrum of disciplines, at an ancient site in an un-spoilt rural location in Suffolk, to hear presentations and take part in debates on subjects of historical, scientific, cultural and global importance.
We wish to encourage a much wider understanding of the issues, which really matter to mankind in facilitating the future peace and good management of the planet.
